Yet too much leads to overload and thence to deliberate ignoring of inputs. &#8220;Having information&#8221; is not the same as &#8220;being informed&#8221;, so increasing the flow of information does not always result in an informed person. Typically there is not a problem getting enough information but rather with interpreting and understanding what information there is &#8211; an internal, rather than an external, locus of control.<\/p>\n<p>O mito n\u00famero 2 exp\u00f5e que &#8220;Mais informa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 sempre melhor&#8221;. No meu ponto de vista, existem duas palavras perigosas a\u00ed em se tratando de informa\u00e7\u00e3o. A primeira \u00e9 &#8220;mais&#8221;. A sabedoria popular fala (n\u00e3o \u00e9 de hoje!), que tudo o que \u00e9\u00a0em excesso faz mal, e para a informa\u00e7\u00e3o sabe-se, mais do qualquer outra \u00e9poca da hist\u00f3ria, o mal que o excesso de informa\u00e7\u00e3o faz. Nunca foi t\u00e3o f\u00e1cil consegui-la e t\u00e3o f\u00e1cil perd\u00ea-la, replic\u00e1-la, duplic\u00e1-la&#8230; que dir\u00e1 desses efeitos em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 desinforma\u00e7\u00e3o, mas isso pode ser tema para outro\u00a0<em>post<\/em>. A segunda palavra \u00e9 &#8220;sempre&#8221;. Nada \u00e9 para sempre. Basta ver o exemplo da Biblioteca de Alexandria: como toda e qualquer biblioteca, leva-se anos para se formar e minutos para se perder. Com a informa\u00e7\u00e3o digital n\u00e3o \u00e9 diferente, sen\u00e3o, pior, j\u00e1 que nenhum sistema pode ser considerado totalmente seguro,\u00a0at\u00e9 mesmo para\u00a0informa\u00e7\u00e3o impressa. Ainda que possa ser recuperada parcialmente, caso danificada ou corrompida, a informa\u00e7\u00e3o perdida nunca mais ser\u00e1 a mesma da original. Filosofando: ter\u00e1 virado uma fonte secund\u00e1ria? Quem sabe&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Muito sabiamente este\u00a0mito\u00a0esclarece que &#8220;ter informa\u00e7\u00e3o&#8221; n\u00e3o \u00e9 o mesmo que &#8220;estar informado&#8221;, pois a informa\u00e7\u00e3o, enquanto ativo intang\u00edvel, tem seu\u00a0valor atribu\u00eddo a partir\u00a0do uso que dela ser\u00e1 feito. \u00c9 o significado, a inten\u00e7\u00e3o que ir\u00e1 agregar valor \u00e0 informa\u00e7\u00e3o, pois cada usu\u00e1rio atribui a ela um valor, segundo sua necessidade. Basicamente, \u00e9 aquela hist\u00f3ria: o que \u00e9 importante para um pode n\u00e3o ser para outro. O que tem valor para um pode n\u00e3o ter para outro. E \u00e9 por isso que o mito 2 afirma que o aumento do fluxo de informa\u00e7\u00f5es nem sempre \u00e9 proporcional ao n\u00famero de pessoas informadas. Dependendo da situa\u00e7\u00e3o, pode at\u00e9 ser o contr\u00e1rio!<\/p>\n<p>No que se refere a obten\u00e7\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00e3o &#8220;suficiente&#8221;, tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 dif\u00edcil definir &#8220;suficiente&#8221;\u00a0neste Contexto: o quanto \u00e9 suficiente? O que \u00e9 suficiente?\u00a0Quantidade ou qualidade? Dif\u00edcil responder. Mais uma vez: vai da demanda, da necessidade e todo e qualquer fator interno e externo que interfira na decis\u00e3o do usu\u00e1rio sobre o uso que far\u00e1 da informa\u00e7\u00e3o. A interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o e a compreens\u00e3o, sim, atribuem valor \u00e0 informa\u00e7\u00e3o, visto que\u00a0a partir desse momento ela ter\u00e1 um sentido e poder\u00e1 gerar conhecimento.<\/p>\n<p>CASE, Donald O.\u00a0<strong>Looking for information<\/strong>. 2. ed.
