3.\u00a0Objective information can be transmitted out of context<\/em>. But people tend to ignore isolated facts when they cannot form a complete picture of them. Individuals yearn to understand how information connects to other facts, beliefs and emotions they have, and how all these affect one another.<\/p>\n

Lembro de j\u00e1 ter lido algo sobre informa\u00e7\u00e3o, objetividade e contexto. \u00c9 comum esse tipo de discuss\u00e3o na Biblioteconomia e Ci\u00eancia da Informa\u00e7\u00e3o. Um exemplo cl\u00e1ssico\u00a0utilizado pelos professores como\u00a0\u00e9 escrever um n\u00famero na lousa, por exemplo, 32. 32 pelo 32 n\u00e3o diz nada: sabe-se apenas tratar-se um n\u00famero, nada al\u00e9m disso. Se algum(a) aluno(a) disser que \u00e9 sua idade, ou outro o n\u00famero de sua casa, ou\u00a0contextualizar<\/em> esse dado de alguma forma, teremos um outro significado\u00a0<\/em>para o n\u00famero 32. Em resumo, dados transmitidos<\/em> em um contexto passam a ter um significado<\/em>, convertendo-se em informa\u00e7\u00e3o objetiva<\/em>.<\/p>\n

No entanto, como o pr\u00f3prio texto exp\u00f5e, as pessoas tendem a ignorar os dados (ou fatos isolados) quando\u00a0n\u00e3o pertencem \u00e0s suas refer\u00eancias e experi\u00eancia pessoais. Um novo dado cria ansiedade em tentar entend\u00ea-lo, atribuir-lhe significado, ou seja, em compreend\u00ea-lo<\/em>, pois \u00e9 o dado com significado (informa\u00e7\u00e3o) que se tornar\u00e1\u00a0um conhecimento. E a partir do ponto de vista pessoal, cada um ir\u00e1 avaliar se o conhecimento adquirido lhe ser\u00e1 \u00fatil ou n\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m disso, toda a informa\u00e7\u00e3o, processada com as outras que a pessoa j\u00e1 possui, somada \u00e0s suas emo\u00e7\u00f5es, sentimentos e percep\u00e7\u00f5es, tamb\u00e9m ir\u00e3o pesar na sua convers\u00e3o em conhecimento e na consequente avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de sua utilidade ou inutilidade. E a\u00a0nova informa\u00e7\u00e3o afetar\u00e1 o conjunto pessoal de cada um, fato que\u00a0tamb\u00e9m gera ansiedade, j\u00e1 que pode provocar mudan\u00e7as.
